Job description

We areย seekingย an experiencedย InBuildingย DAS Constructionย Leadย to support nationwide DAS deployments across complex venues. This role is 100%ย travelbasedย and requires aย handsonย field leader who can actively install DAS equipment while leading and coordinatingย onsiteย crews.ย 

The ideal candidate has direct experience building DAS systems in live environments and is comfortable serving as the primaryย field pointย of contact for construction execution, material coordination, and quality control.ย 

Key Responsibilities

Preferably:

Technical Construction Managementย 

  • Assistย and oversee installation of DAS equipment including head-end units, remote antenna units, fiber optic cables, and coaxial distribution systemsย 
  • Assistย with site surveys / data collection and produce bid documents on small to medium projectsย 
  • Supervise field construction crews and subcontractorsย 
  • Conduct safetyย surveysย and meetings with onsite vendors and crewsย 
  • Work with clients and vendors to ensure all installationsย comply withย RF engineering specifications and performance requirementsย 

Materials & Logistics Supportย 

  • Must have the ability to scope installation requirements and procure the appropriate materials.ย 
  • Assist with material verification, staging, and shortagesย 
  • Support scoping and takeoffs based on field conditionsย 
  • Coordinate with project teams on equipment readiness and deliveriesย 

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks throughout construction phases
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Coordinate testing and commissioning activities with RF engineers
  • Manage permit acquisition and regulatory compliance requirements

Project Management & Oversightย 

  • Support and manage multiple active DAS deployment projects simultaneously from initiation through commissioningย 
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project executionย 
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plansย 

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as primary liaison between construction teams and clients
  • Collaborate with property managers, building owners, and facility personnel
  • Coordinate with carrier partners and equipment vendors
  • Communicate project status and milestones to senior management
  • Manage crew scheduling and resource deployment

Safety & Complianceย 

  • Follow all site safety requirements (OSHA,ย venuespecificย rules)ย 
  • Maintain clean, professional job sitesย 
  • Ensure compliance with firestops,ย pathways, and access policies

Certifications

  • DAS OEM (JMA, CommScope,ย SOLiD, ADRF)ย systemsย installation, Cable prepย 
  • Fiber Testingย (DTF, OTDR)ย toolย certification,ย Anritsuย 
  • GC Academy Construction, Ericsson, Nokiaย 
  • MEWPย Certificationย

Requirements

MUST HAVE:

***Candidates must have 2-3 years of recentย handsonย field experience in wireless telecommunicationsย inbuilding systemsย installation, testing, and field leadership***ย 

  • Must have industry safety certifications, i.e., OSHAย 10 orย 30, RF Awareness, CPR, BBPย 
  • 2+ years of experience in leading inbuilding DAS construction projectsย 
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with DAS installationsย and in-building wireless systemsย 
  • Knowledge of fiber optics and Coax installation, testing, troubleshootingย 
  • Knowledge of Troubleshooting,ย RANย and DAS systemsย 
  • Knowledge of working with AC and DC power installationย 
  • Knowledge of preparing Coax jumper as per specification, certification is aย plusย 
  • Must be able to read and understand Construction Drawings, RF Data sheets andย ibwaveย filesย 
  • Must have experience preparing construction closeout packagesย 
  • Must have DAS/RAN constructionย bid walkย and the deliverables experienceย 
  • Must be familiar with postย construction close out and deliverablesย 

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50ย lbs.ย 
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and above ceilingsย 
  • 100% travelย requiredย (national project footprint)ย
