Darke County Maintenance Technician

Miami Valley Community Action Partnership (MVCAP)
Greenville, Ohio

Pay Rate

$19.00 per hour
Annual Salary: Approximately $39,520 per year

Schedule

Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

On-Call Requirement: This position is required to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance situations outside of normal business hours when needed.

Miami Valley Community Action Partnership (MVCAP) is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support our facilities and housing programs throughout Darke County. This position plays a vital role in maintaining safe, clean, and functional environments for the individuals and families we serve.

What You'll Do
  • Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance repairs.

  • Complete custodial duties to maintain clean, safe, and sanitary facilities.

  • Respond to and complete maintenance work orders.

  • Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems and safety equipment.

  • Assist with grounds maintenance, landscaping, and snow removal.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory.

  • Utilize email and electronic work order systems to receive assignments and document completed work.

  • Coordinate with supervisors and contractors regarding repair needs.

  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed, including after-hours situations.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience in building maintenance, custodial services, property management, construction, or a related field preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.

  • Computer skills required, including the ability to use email, electronic work order systems, and basic Microsoft Office applications.

  • Valid Ohio Driver's License required.

  • Must have reliable transportation and maintain insurability under agency insurance guidelines.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
