ABOUT THE POSITION
We're seeking a Sales Engineer to join our growing Global team. Focused on the US market and collaborating on global opportunities; You will have the opportunity to join a team of highly collaborative and experienced individuals., whose focus is both technical excellence and commercial awareness.
Our SE's work closely with the sales teams in both our Enterprise and Government sectors. You will be challenged to technically position our products and services to customers, helping to address their cyber security needs. This will involve guiding them through technical engagement from early engagement, demo and PoV to successful handover to Customer Success.
You will be expected to lead the pre-sales engagement with prospects, becoming a technical champion by developing insights into their business and cyber needs. You will do this by conducting effective demonstrations and diving into the details of our products, showing how customers can realise the value of Searchlight Cyber's dark web and attack surface monitoring tools to enhance their security.
We are looking for a passionate customer focused individual who will be committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
WHAT WILL I DO?
  • Work effectively to deliver successful technical outcomes for our prospects in support of our sales teams in the US market.
  • Understand and clearly communicate customer technical needs, closely aligning Searchlight Cybers technical capabilities with customer outcomes to deliver value.
  • Demonstrate clear prospect ownership and the ability to understand complex technical integrations and align them to business needs.
  • Engage proactively with Searchlight ensuring we place the customer needs at the forefront of our Solutions.
  • To be successful you must be customer focused, comfortable with travel, and in-person customer engagement.
  • We encourage innovation, so you should be a strong self-starter with the ability to work and deliver on our pre-sale's strategy independently

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or similar work.
  • Experience in cybersecurity in general - ASM and dark web experience is advantageous: Experience with investigative analysis, and familiarity of the intelligence cycle will be considered beneficial.
  • Experience and ability to evidence and articulate how to work with Enterprise Customers Government, Partners (including MSSP's) and Law enforcement. You should be able to articulate a customer engagement
  • You should have excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to discuss technical details with a variety of audiences, from C-level executives to technical engineers / analysts.
  • In line with being a "self-starter" you should also have effective time management and organizational skills.

Experience with MEDDPICC or other sales methodologies will be considered a benefit although not essential.

  • Short Interview 30 mins with Head of Pre-Sales.
  • Panel Interview 1: 45mins: You should be able to talk about a recent prospect in technical depth. You should cover the solution, customer engagement plan or strategy, competition management and outcomes 20 mins within one session.
    Audience - Commercial - (panel acting as a customer)
  • Panel Interview 2: 1 Hour. On a technical integration or cyber intelligence challenge covering the initial engagement / demo, progression to PoV and objection handling 20 mins. We will also discuss general technical knowledge and experience.
