Short Intro and About the Job

The Strategic Insights & Analytics (SIA) organization is evolving to support the overall transformation of Danone North America into a consumer and customer centric organization. We partner across the enterprise to drive clarity in the strategic direction and precision of the cross-functional efforts of our category, brand, commercial, RGM, Category Management and Sales teams to capture value opportunities and grow our categories and brands. This means fueling end-to-end insights from our obsession with consumers, shoppers, categories, customers, products, and cultural trends for Danone.

ABOUT THE JOB/RESPONSIBILITIESThe Shakes, Kids, and Yogurt SIA team will drive deep consumer and market understanding to build our brands and our category strength. You will work on building fundamental knowledge of the category and our core businesses and build new mixes for the marketplace with innovation. The SIA team strives to put ourselves in the shoes of our marketing, sales, leadership teams and other functions to supply the right insight at the right moment to deliver better value propositions to Danone's consumers, shoppers and customers. This Director of SIA on Oikos Yogurt and Oikos Ready to Drink Shakes, will report to the SIA VP of Shakes, Kids and Yogurt, and play a proactive, collaborative leadership role across strategy brand planning, execution, innovation, and performance review.

STRATEGY - Partners with category teams and across the business to deliver category, portfolio, and brand strategies to identify future category landscape and quantified future sources of growth rooted in consumer and customer insight. - Understanding current trends, looking around the corner to predict future trends, including white spaces. - Conduct consumer research to understand the landscape of needs, demand spaces, and occasions; evaluate our right to win through brand equity and brand health, shopper behavior, path to purchase and shelf navigation.- Build analytics to size future consumer value pools using foresights and occasion data and diagnose our ability to attract switchers and new users from outside the category.  

DRIVE CONSUMER LEARNING FOR OIKOS BRAND - Uncovers consumer insights and interprets deep understanding for the purpose of building and growing the Oikos brand.- Understand and build consumer target for the marketing planning process.- Help define the best consumer offering with respect to packaging, price, product, and communication.- Understand the role of Oikos in the categories in which it competes and examine the competition.

REVIEW - Contribute to a culture of effectiveness through activity-based performance management of ourselves and competition with precision. - Ensure performance rhythms to keep a finger on the pulse of the business and bring the right data and insight to enable agility in strategic and tactical course correction. 

The salary range for this position is $184,000 - $195,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.  Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. To give our employees flexibility, Danone is a hybrid work environment.This role is considered a "hybrid" position that allows for flexible work, meaning it is a role where collaboration with key stakeholders in Danone Hubs occurs. While you may have the option to work from home on a schedule as agreed to with your supervisor, you are also expected to regularly report to your assigned office location at least 3 days per week.

Required qualifications include:- 15+ years of experience with demonstrated leadership in Insights roles at a CPG company.- B.S./B.A. (required) Marketing, Business or related field. M.S./MBA preferred.- Proven record leading the design, synthesis, and application of repeatable, scalable insights of custom research.- Managing external insight partners, interpreting data & analytics both quantitative and qualitative, from design through delivery of: idea generation, segmentation, concept and product testing, pack testing, campaign evaluation, media targeting, conjoint, and shopper studies.- Strong knowledge and comfort of Circana/Nielsen, EPOS/Retail Sales data sources; household panel data and loyalty card.- Proven record of influencing business decisions with fact-based insights through competitive intelligence, retail intelligence, and persuasive communication to drive better business outcomes.- Comfortable presenting to senior leadership, effectively communicating insights, recommendations, and complex information in a clear, compelling manner.- Experience managing multiple direct reports, driving performance, development, and team effectiveness.- Building strong relationships across the organization and continuous improvement of processes.
