Full-Time Ice Cream Production Operator Toft Dairy 3717 Venice Road, Sandusky, OH 44870Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to approximately 2:00 PM (Hours may vary depending on production and sanitation completion)Position SummaryThe Ice Cream Production Operator is responsible for supporting daily ice cream manufacturing operations by operating equipment, preparing ingredients, and maintaining a clean and safe production environment. This role is essential to ensure products are produced efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with all food safety and quality standards.Operational ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor ice cream production line equipmentEnsure product quality, consistency, and accuracy throughout the production processFeed empty containers into machinesPrepare ingredients and packaging materials for productionAdd and handle ingredients, including lifting and pouring 5-gallon buckets into mixing equipmentAssist with equipment changeovers as neededDisassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble machinery in accordance with company standardsMaintain a clean work environment through sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing Follow all production schedules, batch sheets, and work instructionsPerform additional tasks as assigned by supervisorsQuality & Safety ResponsibilitiesFollow all company food safety policies and proceduresComply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation requirementsAdhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and workplace safety practicesSupport allergen control and proper ingredient handling proceduresImmediately report safety concerns, equipment issues, or product quality problemsPhysical & Work RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times per shiftAbility to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, reach, and grasp throughout an 8-hour shiftAbility to work in wet production environmentsAbility to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced setting Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detailQualificationsRequired: High School Diploma or equivalentStrong work ethic and reliabilityAbility to work effectively in a team environmentBasic understanding of workplace safetyPreferred:Previous manufacturing or production experience Experience in food or dairy production Forklift experienceWork ExpectationsStrong attendance and punctuality are required Willingness to work until production and sanitation tasks are completed Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing production needsCompensation & Benefits:Competitive full-time pay with consistent hoursOvertime opportunities available Medical insurance with prescription coverage Supplemental benefits including dental, vision, and life insurance Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays 401(k) with company matchAbout Toft Dairy:For over 125 years, Toft Dairy has proudly served customers within approximately a 150-mile radius of our Sandusky plant.
