Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations to ensure efficient and safe production, managing teams, coordinating schedules, maintaining quality, and addressing issues to meet production goals. The Production Supervisor will work closely with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and drive for continuous improvement while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.


Supervising and Leading:

· Directly supervise and lead a team of production employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.

· Motivate, coach, and counsel employees to improve performance and productivity.

· Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.

· Monitor production processes and identify potential bottlenecks or issues.

· Coordinate with other departments (e.g., engineering, quality control) to ensure smooth operations.

Quality Control:

· Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.

· Implement and maintain quality control procedures.

· Identify and address quality issues promptly.

Safety and Compliance:

· Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing safety procedures.

· Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.

· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Problem Solving:

· Identify and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.

· Implement solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.

· Collaborate with other departments to find solutions to problems.

Team Management:

· Manage employee performance and address any issues.

· Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Record Keeping:

· Maintain accurate records of production activities, quality control data, and safety procedures.

· Prepare reports on production performance and efficiency.

Continuous Improvement:

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

· Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.


Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with a typical work schedule of 8 to 10-hour days with flexibility to adjust as necessary based on production needs.
  • The work environment is a manufacturing plant with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training, meetings, or plant assessments.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Manufacturing experience (preferably in automotive) with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with manufacturing software (e.g., ERP systems).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MES and or SAP working knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant manufacturing management frameworks.
