Dach Region information

What are some common challenges professionals face when working in the DACH region market, and how can they overcome them?

Professionals working in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region often encounter challenges related to cultural differences, local regulations, and language barriers. Navigating the formal business culture, understanding regional compliance requirements, and effectively communicating in German can be demanding for newcomers. To overcome these challenges, it's helpful to invest in cultural training, stay updated on legal requirements, and, if possible, improve German language proficiency. Collaborating closely with local colleagues and leveraging their expertise can also greatly facilitate smoother integration and success in the DACH market.

What does 'DACH region' mean in a business context?

The term 'DACH region' refers to the group of German-speaking countries in Europe: Germany (D), Austria (A), and Switzerland (CH). In a business context, this region is often treated as a single market due to shared language and cultural similarities, despite each country having its own legal and economic system. Companies often tailor their strategies specifically for the DACH region to address its unique market dynamics and consumer preferences.

To thrive as a DACH Region Manager, you need expertise in sales, business development, and market analysis, often supported by experience in the German-speaking markets and proficiency in German. Familiarity with CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and regional compliance regulations is typically required. Strong intercultural communication, leadership, and negotiation skills help build relationships and drive growth across diverse markets. These capabilities are crucial for effectively navigating the unique business environments of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, ensuring successful market entry and sustained performance.

Strategy & Operations - Product Growth

Job description

About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of product, growth, and operations at a well-funded B2B SaaS company building AI-powered procurement intelligence for the manufacturing sector. You will join a small, founder-led team in Munich and own high-leverage, compounding growth loops end-to-end — from hypothesis and whiteboard to prototype, validation, and scale. Roughly 20% of your time will be spent shaping company strategy directly with founders; the remaining 80% is pure autonomous execution. This is a zero-to-one, extreme-ownership position for someone who thinks and moves like a founder.

What You'll Do
  • Identify, design, and build the next compounding growth loop (e.g., supplier referrals, community effects, embedded workflows) from scratch to scalable pipeline.

  • Own organic acquisition through technical SEO and AI-search (GEO) infrastructure, converting procurement queries into pipeline.

  • Concept and ship product-led wedges that drive user acquisition without proportional sales effort.

  • Run rapid 0-to-1 cycles: whiteboard → prototype → validate → scale — and pivot decisively when data demands it.

  • Own growth roadmaps and outcomes with a measurable impact track record, operating without waiting for permission.

  • Contribute to a collaborative, ego-free culture that continuously raises team performance.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves (dealbreakers):

  • Able and willing to work on-site in Munich 4+ days per week.

  • 3+ years in growth or strategy roles with a proven record of delivering zero-to-one growth loops and scalable initiatives.

  • Experience owning end-to-end growth roadmaps and executing autonomously.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and own an organic acquisition strategy, including technical SEO and AI-search (GEO) infrastructure.

  • Fluency in both German and English.

  • Track record of prototyping, validating, and scaling ideas quickly (whiteboard to validated growth motion).

  • Experience leading product-led growth initiatives and launching product experiences that drive user acquisition.

  • B2B SaaS growth experience within industrial procurement or a comparable enterprise procurement domain.

  • Zero-to-one growth project experience in VC-backed startups or high-growth environments.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with the DACH regional context and AI-first platform implications.

  • Startup or high-growth company experience operating at founder-level pace and ambiguity.

  • Ambition to found a company someday — this team loves to back founders-in-the-making.

Location & Work Arrangement

Based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. This is a full-time, on-site role (4+ days per week in-office). Visa sponsorship is not available.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive compensation package including equity. Specific salary details will be discussed during the interview process. The company is backed by top-tier European and global venture capital (Series A/B stage).
