Overview of position:

We are looking for a Platform Engineer/Architect Senior to work in Indianapolis, IN.

An active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and a United States Citizenship is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior platform engineering support for DFAS CCE infrastructure
  • Process CCE priority Tier 3 DFASNow support tickets
  • Support implementation of new hardware and software into DFAS CCE
  • Take actions required to properly test, configure, and install new technologies
  • Ensure no conflicts when implementing new technologies
  • Develop briefings, studies, project estimates, and cost benefit analyses
  • Develop detailed design documentation for critical design review
  • Support CCE infrastructure monitoring and service delivery
  • Maintain engineering network configuration documentation
  • Coordinate with government team members on coverage and workload balance

Experience/Skills:

  • 8+ years enterprise systems engineering experience
  • Windows Server administration expertise (AZ801-802 certification)
  • Security+ certification demonstrating baseline security knowledge
  • Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms
  • Proficiency in MECM, SCOM, and Microsoft System Center suite
  • Experience with Directory Services (Active Directory)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux server administration
  • Experience developing technical documentation and design specifications
  • Familiarity with DoD change control processes

Preferred Qualification:

  • CISSP certification (upgrade path)
  • Azure administrator certification
  • VMware VCP certification
  • Experience with DFAS or DoD financial systems
  • Prior DoD infrastructure engineering experience
  • Knowledge of DISA STIGs
  • Experience with containerization technologies

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Azure AZ-801 & AZ-802
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD-approved IAT Level II certification

Clearance:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Security clearance is required.
  • Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
