A DCS Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in industrial settings such as manufacturing plants, power generation facilities, or oil and gas refineries. They ensure that the DCS, which automates and controls complex industrial processes, functions optimally and safely. The DCS Supervisor leads a team of technicians or operators, troubleshoots system issues, coordinates with other departments, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
