Physical Therapist (PT) - School-Based
Maumelle & Little Rock, Arkansas | Full-Time | Cynergy Rehab Group

How You'll Make an Impact
As a School-Based Physical Therapist, you'll partner with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to help students access their educational environment through improved mobility, strength, endurance, and functional independence.
Your typical day may include:
  • Conducting comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for students with a variety of orthopedic, neurological, developmental, and genetic conditions
  • Developing individualized treatment plans and measurable IEP goals that support educational participation
  • Providing direct physical therapy services in school settings to improve functional mobility, balance, coordination, strength, endurance, and participation throughout the school day
  • Recommending and monitoring adaptive equipment, mobility devices, positioning equipment, and orthotics
  • Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, administrators, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and families to support student success
  • Participating in IEP meetings and providing consultation regarding classroom accommodations, accessibility, and mobility needs
  • Educating school staff and caregivers on safe transfers, positioning, mobility strategies, and carryover activities
  • Completing evaluations, progress reports, Medicaid documentation, and other required documentation in a timely and compliant manner
  • Traveling between assigned school campuses in the Maumelle and Little Rock areas
