Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Operational Technology Systems Engineer is to maintain site Cybersecurity Controls, implement new Cybersecurity policy requirements and issue Cybersecurity reporting and periodic reviews.

How You Can Be the Impact

  • Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Control and Automation System Infrastructure (includes cybersecurity controls, backups, networks, and system maintenance).
  • Ensure site compliance to applicable cyber security and systems infrastructure requirements and standards such as SABIC Engineering Standards (SES), SABIC Operating Management System (OMS), Manufacturing Standards and Cyber Security policies. 
  • Develop and maintain relevant technical documents related to cyber security and systems infrastructure such as Architecture, Network IP Schema, general procedures and guidelines.
  • Analyze and access vulnerabilities in the site infrastructure, ensure effectiveness of available tools and countermeasures to remedy detected vulnerabilities. 
  • Investigate, analyze, and report damages to the data and system infrastructure due to cybersecurity incidents or other failures.
  • Maintain and ensure the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans.

What Matters to SABIC

  • BS Degree in Computing Engineering, Computer Science, Control Systems, other Engineer discipline.
  • Preferred Cyber Security and Industrial Automation & Control Systems Certifications or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Industrial Automation and Control Systems, computer networks and communication.
  • Good knowledge of Operating Systems, server maintenance, and database administration.
