We are committed to proven, repeatable corporate quality management processes and are certified CMMI Maturity Level III - Development/Services & ISO 9001:2015.ESN is seeking a Computer System Analyst III (Cybersecurity Technical Writer) to support a contract with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Atlantic, in Norfolk, VA. The contract to support NIWC LANT consists of Independent Validation & Verification, Operations, Sustainment, and Installation support. The Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) systems provide near real-time material-based readiness reporting to the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Navy (DRRS-N) and provides three additional primary capabilities to the Fleet including Ashore and Afloat systems. This support includes automated software testing, Scrum Master support, operating in the AWS Cloud, management of JIRA/Confluence, Cyber compliance, and project support.Location- Candidates may be located in Chesapeake, VA or within a 30-mile radius of any NIWC LANT Lab facility (Norfolk, Quantico, Charleston, or NOLA)Duties:Develop and maintain RMF documentation, including System Security Plans, Plan of Action, and Milestone (POA&M) mitigation statements, control implementation statements, and required supporting artifacts.Create and update network authorization boundary diagrams, system architecture diagrams, and data flow diagrams that accurately represent system components, ports & protocols, interfaces, communication paths, and external connections.Interpret and document NIST SP 800-53 security controls (Rev 5), ensuring implementation statements are complete, technically accurate, and aligned with the system's actual design and configurations.Collaborate closely with engineers, developers, network architects, administrators, and system owners to gather the technical input required to accurately document controls and system behaviors.Schedule is Monday through Friday with some weekend support required.Performs other duties and works schedules as assigned by management, which may include changes to duties, responsibilities, or work hours as required to meet contractual obligations, mission requirements, or the needs of the organization.Minimal RequirementsRequired Education:High School diploma/GED related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate.Required certification: Security +Preferred Certifications: AWS Security Certification Specialty and Certified Information Systems Security ProfessionalExperience:Five (5) years of Computerized System experience, to include: Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows based operating system.Specific Experience:Two (2) years' experience conducting security audits on IT infrastructure and managing appropriate scans and STIG checklists.Experience supporting the Risk Management Framework process or similar compliance/accreditation workflows.Experience documenting or interpreting NIST SP 800-53 security controls.Experience creating system diagrams, network topology diagrams, boundary diagrams, or data flow diagrams.Experience interviewing and working with System Engineers and Developers to extract technical details for documentation.Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise documentation suitable for assessors, auditors, and stakeholders.Security Clearance:Must hold an active Department of Defense SECRET clearance.Writing sample required at time of interview
