Develops, maintains, and updates clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation, procedures, and training materials by collaborating with technical teams to support IT systems, end users, and organizational compliance.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Create Technical Documentation - Write user manuals, installation guides, configuration documents, and troubleshooting guides for software, hardware, and IT systems.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) - Document step-by-step procedures for IT operations, maintenance, and support activities.
  • Translate Technical Information - Convert complex technical concepts into language that is easy for non-technical users to understand.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) - Work closely with software developers, analysts, system administrators, engineers, and project managers to gather accurate information.
  • Maintain Documentation - Regularly review and update existing documents to reflect software updates, system changes, or new business requirements.
  • Create Knowledge Base Articles - Produce FAQs, how-to articles, and support documentation that help users resolve common issues independently.
  • Document System Requirements - Prepare functional and technical requirements, specifications, and design documentation for IT projects.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Education - Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or certification in Technical Communication, English, Communications, or a related field; or a minimum of two (2) years of equivalent work-related experience.
  • Technical Writing Experience - Proven experience creating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, SOPs, API documentation, and knowledge base articles.
  • Strong Written Communication Skills - Excellent grammar, spelling, editing, and proofreading abilities, with the capability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology - Understanding of basic IT concepts and terminology, including computer hardware, software applications, networking, databases, cloud computing, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Documentation Tools Proficiency - Experience using tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Confluence, SharePoint, or other documentation and content management systems.
  • Research and Analytical Skills - Ability to gather information from multiple sources, analyze technical data, and accurately document technical processes and procedures.
  • Attention to Detail - Strong focus on accuracy, consistency, formatting, and completeness to produce high-quality technical documentation.
