5–6 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Control Systems Engineer with 5–6 years of experience in industrial automation and process control. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems for industrial projects. The role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, safe, and efficient automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement control system solutions using PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI platforms.
  • Prepare functional design specifications (FDS), control narratives, I/O lists, cause-and-effect matrices, and system architecture documents.
  • Develop PLC logic, HMI graphics, SCADA applications, and alarm management strategies.
  • Configure industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, and Ethernet.
  • Integrate field instruments, analyzers, drives, and third-party systems with automation platforms.
  • Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve automation, instrumentation, and control system issues.
  • Provide technical support during project execution and post-commissioning.
  • Collaborate with process, instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, quality procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, operating manuals, and test reports.
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management activities.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems.
  • Experience with one or more platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Schneider Electric, ABB, Emerson, Honeywell, or Yokogawa.
  • Good understanding of process control principles, including PID control.
  • Experience with industrial communication networks and protocols.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, control valves, VFDs, and motor control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics.
  • Familiarity with FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or Automation Engineering.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power, Water, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, or Process Industries.
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards (IEC 61508/IEC 61511) and SIL concepts is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards for industrial control systems is desirable.
