We’re seeking a dependable, mission-driven Mess Attendant Supervisor to help support and guide daily galley operations. This is a working supervisor role—meaning you will lead by example, train team members, and perform hands‑on duties to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient dining environment.

  • Provide hands‑on leadership, coaching, and support to Mess Attendants throughout the shift.
  • Set clear expectations, reinforce performance standards, and promote a positive team environment.
  • Monitor team output to ensure quality, safety, and sanitation protocols are consistently followed.
  • Identify safety concerns, ensure proper use of PPE, and report issues to the Project Manager.
  • Operate and oversee commercial dishwashing equipment to ensure proper sanitation of dishware and utensils.
  • Direct and assist with manual scrubbing and sanitizing of cookware in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Support front‑of‑house operations, including dining area resets, trash removal, and maintaining cleanliness across service zones.
  • Ensure all work areas, storage spaces, and equipment are clean, organized, and ready for the next shift.
  • Verify completion of daily tasks and ensure supplies are properly secured.
  • Assist with inventory checks, supply distribution, and coordination with kitchen staff as needed.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following all sanitation, safety, and food‑handling procedures.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service, custodial, or galley operations.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a lead, supervisory, or team‑support role.
  • Experience working in a high‑volume dining facility performing sanitation and front‑of‑house support duties.
  • Experience operating commercial dishwashing equipment and managing sanitation tasks.
  • Knowledge of commercial dishwashing equipment and sanitation procedures.
  • Valid RealID
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.

Bonus If You Have These Skills:

  • Experience working in military dining facilities, industrial kitchens, or high‑volume food service operations.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting.
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; able to follow orders and relay updates to the Project Manager.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism during busy or challenging periods.
