Davenport, IA | Outpatient | General Cardiology or EP | No Call | No Weekends | No Holidays | New Graduates Welcome
Cardiovascular Medicine (CVM) is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing outpatient cardiology team in Davenport, Iowa.
This opportunity is open to APPs interested in either General Cardiology or Electrophysiology (EP). Whether you already have cardiovascular experience, are interested in transitioning into EP, or are a new graduate looking to build a strong foundation in cardiology, CVM offers the mentorship and clinical support to help you develop within the specialty that best fits your interests.
The position is 100% outpatient with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule and no hospital rounding, call, weekends, or holiday coverage. You'll work alongside an established team of cardiologists and experienced APPs while developing expertise in cardiovascular medicine.

  • General Cardiology - manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, follow-up care, risk-factor management, and ongoing treatment plans
  • Electrophysiology (EP) - work alongside electrophysiologists caring for patients with arrhythmias and other cardiac rhythm disorders while developing specialized EP knowledge
Prior EP experience is not required. APPs with a genuine interest in learning electrophysiology are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities will vary based on your General Cardiology or EP focus and may include:
  • Evaluate and manage cardiovascular patients in an outpatient setting
  • Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits
  • Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
  • Order and review EKGs, laboratory studies, imaging, stress testing, and other cardiovascular diagnostics
  • Collaborate closely with cardiologists and APPs on treatment planning and ongoing care
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and cardiovascular risk reduction
  • Develop additional specialty expertise in electrophysiology for APPs pursuing an EP-focused role
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
Qualifications
  • Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Active Iowa license or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Previous cardiology, EP, or outpatient experience preferred but not required
  • No previous EP experience required for APPs interested in learning the specialty
  • New graduate Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are encouraged to apply
  • Strong interest in General Cardiology and/or Electrophysiology
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient-care skills
