Job Title: High-Impact Surgical Veterinarian (HQHVSN)
Location: Delaware, OH
Job Type: Full-Time

Cut More Than Costs. Change Lives.

If you became a veterinarian to make a real difference—not just one patient at a time, but thousands—this is your role.

We’re looking for a skilled, efficient, and mission-driven Surgical Veterinarian to lead and grow our High-Quality, High-Volume Spay/Neuter (HQHVSN) program. This is your chance to combine surgical excellence with purpose—reducing pet overpopulation, increasing access to care, and improving community welfare at scale.

Why This Role is Different

This isn’t traditional private practice.
This is impact medicine.

You’ll spend your days:

  • Performing high-quality spay/neuter surgeries in a streamlined, well-supported environment
  • Working alongside a highly trained team that knows how to keep your flow smooth and efficient
  • Making care accessible for underserved communities
  • Leaving work knowing you helped dozens—not just a handful—of animals every single day

What You’ll Do

  • Perform high-volume spay/neuter surgeries on canine/feline patients (averaging about 30-40/day)
  • Perform general surgery (Ex: enucleation; pyometra; mass removal; cherry eye repair; cystotomy; gastronomy; enterotomy; entropion; gastropexy; etc)
  • Maintain exceptional standards of care, safety, and efficiency
  • Oversee anesthesia and perioperative protocols
  • Mentor and collaborate with veterinary staff and technicians
  • Contribute to program growth and community outreach

What You’ll Get

  • Predictable schedule. M-F 8a-4p
  • Competitive salary $120,000 -$140,000
  • Generous PTO + paid holidays
  • CE allowance (including HQHVSN training opportunities)
  • Licensing, DEA, and professional dues covered
  • A mission-driven culture that values your impact and your well-being

Who You Are

  • DVM or equivalent, licensed (or eligible) in Ohio
  • Confident in surgery and eager to become highly proficient in HQHVSN techniques. (Paid training in North Carolina with the ASPCA HQHVSN program will be required for candidates who have not already completed.)
  • Efficient, focused, and calm under a fast-paced surgical schedule
  • Passionate about animal welfare and population control
  • A team player who thrives in a purpose-driven environment

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Prior HQHVSN or shelter medicine experience
  • Interest in training/mentorship or program leadership
  • A desire to scale your impact beyond traditional practice

Every surgery you perform prevents future suffering.
Every day you work here, you help reshape your community.
