Work Shift: 12am-8:30am Monday - Saturday (5 Days)

The Target Pay for this position is $20.67 an hour. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.

Job Purpose/Overview

The Serology Lab Technicianis responsible fortesting blood and other samples for viral and bacterial disease by detecting antibodies (AB) or antigens (AG).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilityrequired.   • Sets up andrunslab tests.

  • Reads and releases testresults

  • Collect and build samples to load.

  • Responsible for completing the Coggins Federal forms as required by the USDA.

  • The testperformed may be more routine and lesscomplex

  • Exercises judgment in evaluating and reporting results

  • Reconcile pending and queue lists daily

  • Performs equipment maintenance and troubleshooting activities

  • Knowledge of lab equipment and procedures

  • Comply withall Quality Assurance policies andprotocols

  • Awareness of quality control and calibration

  • Consult with senior peers on non-complex tasks to learn through experience.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
