What is an Antech?

Antechs, short for Animal Health Technicians at Antech Diagnostics, are professionals who assist veterinarians by performing laboratory tests, handling samples, and ensuring accurate diagnostic results for animal health care. They play a crucial role in veterinary diagnostics, working with advanced laboratory equipment to support disease detection and treatment decisions. Their expertise helps veterinarians make informed choices for animal patients, contributing to better health outcomes in pets and livestock.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Antech veterinary laboratory technician?

Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), automated analyzers, and diagnostic equipment is essential. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication enhance performance and teamwork. These competencies ensure accurate test results, timely reporting, and high-quality veterinary diagnostic services.
