This onsite position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Communications Department in their day-to-day operations that help support our electric cooperative. You'll gain hands-on experience in public relations, member communications and content development, all while collaborating with skilled professionals in a supportive environment. Communication Intern (seasonal)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with employee, community, and cooperative events (setup, support, breakdown)
  • Support logistics for board meetings and internal meetings
  • Work community events as a cooperative representative
  • Capture photos/videos for newsletters, social media, and communications
  • Proofread and edit documents for accuracy and consistency
  • Assist with drafting and formatting communications materials
  • Perform basic administrative tasks, including mail distribution and errands
  • Participate in field visits and support special projects

Qualifications:

  • Student or recent graduate in Communications, PR, Marketing, or related field
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
  • Basic photography and social media knowledge preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Canva/Adobe a plus
