Job description

As a CHB Operations Associate, you play a critical role in ensuring our customers' imports move smoothly, compliantly, and on time. You will manage end-to-end customs brokerage operations for a dedicated portfolio of accounts, partnering closely with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams.

What You'll Do
You will take ownership of daily customs brokerage operations for assigned customers, including:
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, responding to questions and providing timely, accurate shipment updates
  • Prepare and process U.S. Customs entries and Partner Government Agency (PGA) filings, ensuring full regulatory compliance
  • Open and manage entry files in alignment with defined KPIs and service standards
  • Coordinate shipment clearance with freight forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, and container freight stations (CFS) to ensure timely release
  • Track and trace inbound shipments from port or airport through final delivery
  • Ensure all required documentation and entry packages are accurately uploaded into operating systems
  • Complete customer billing, delivery orders, and required operational reports
  • Maintain and update customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed
  • Collaborate closely with teammates and cross-functional partners to support coverage, cross-training, and peak-volume needs

Required / Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6-12 months of customs brokerage or related industry experience
  • At least 2 years in a CHB or operational support environment preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • Customs House Broker License preferred but not required
