Job description

THE OPPORTUNITY:

At UNC Executive Development, we take great pride in the design and delivery of our programs, providing business leaders with the space to learn and grow professionally and personally. A key member of the program and operations team, the Program Coordinator works behind the scenes and directly supports our Program Managers to assist in all aspects of program preparation and delivery to make these programs a reality for our clients and participants. This role requires strong project management and organizational skills to assist in the coordination of multiple programs being delivered consecutively.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the participant experience as part of the program delivery team by coordinating logistics and providing coverage during on-site execution. Tasks include the management of:
  • Program data
  • Group photography scheduling and execution
  • Promotional & customized item ordering
  • Copyright permission ordering
  • Program materials inventory
  • Program material preparation in formats consistent with Kenan-Flagler and UNC brand standards for meeting space set-up
  • Opening and closing announcements
  • Faculty material and simulation set up
  • Evening dinners and offsite activities
  • Evaluation reporting for session feedback for clients post delivery
  • Interact with instructors, participants, clients, facilities, staff, and vendors with a service-first mindset that we call the Carolina Experience
  • Assist as the technical producer to execute virtual program deliveries via multiple online delivery platforms, communicating preparations with faculty ahead of each session
  • Develop, ship and track program materials for off-site program delivery
  • Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement and determine appropriate solutions for program delivery
  • General office management, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced work environment and have the ability to simultaneously juggle varying stakeholder requests and effectively manage deadlines for multiple priorities while exhibiting excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be organized, flexible, and conduct all business with a high level of customer service and professionalism. Attention to detail, good judgment, and demonstrated tact and diplomacy are fundamental in this role. An individual with a commanding presence when speaking publicly will be most successful. Strong competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred. Experience with Zoom a plus. 

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree or higher and/or equivalent experience. As an entry level position, a minimum of one to two years of administrative experience is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

FLSA Status: Salaried, Non-exempt

Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina — must be within commuting distance to office

Work Arrangement:

  • This role is primarily based on-site, providing opportunities for meaningful collaboration, relationship building, and team engagement. Limited remote work flexibility is available depending on program delivery needs and office-specific task requirements.

Compensation:

  • $50,000-$55,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility to participate in an incentive compensation program
