Job description

We are seeking a Deal Strategy Manager, who will be responsible for working with the Acosta Group OMNI Channel commercial teams in developing the strategy and deal structure for client contracts as they relate to renewals or new business opportunities. This role will be critical in collaborating with the commercial teams to ensure that commercial terms adhere to internal policies and that Acosta Group's revenue and margin thresholds are met, and that the agreed upon terms meet Acosta Group's long-term strategy for growth.

This role will guide the deal / contracting process through the system (Sales Force) from inception until sign off and will work with cross-functional teams including (but not limited to) contract administration, finance, legal, senior leadership, and onboarding to support teams.

Minimum Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred, in a technical or business-related field

Experience Requirement: 

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience in sales operations / commercialization
  • Experience in Salesforce preferred. 
  • Experience working in a fast paced, start-up environment.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize, organize, and work efficiently in a high-volume, results-oriented environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Strategize with business partners to construct client contracts/deals which meet Acosta Group guidelines and policies
  • Be the first point of contact for the contract process in Sales Force and guide deals from inception to signatures
  • Manage the day-to-day deal desk queue in Sales Force
  • Work closely with the pricing team to ensure that the pricing strategy is congruent with the business terms
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure that terms and conditions of contracts are met
  • Review contracts and ensure that commercial/negative terms are negotiated/captured within the Acosta Group deal frameworks
  • Utilize market level data to determine appropriate framework for deals (ie. fixed fee vs variable fee vs stable market vs growing market)
  • Ensure that deal governance guidelines and protocols are followed through for each deal
  • Present deal strategies to senior leaders in a clear and concise manner
  • Work directly with clients (where needed) to assist with deal negotiations
  • Provide in-depth training to commercial teams to ensure that teams follow deal terms and conditions
  • Assist with other duties as assigned
