NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING
Customer Service Specialist
The Customer Service Specialist will provide administrative and customer service support to the associated departments of the Executive Director of Strategic Growth & Engagement. This position will welcome visitors to the central office and ensure a consistent and positive experience for customers while supporting the administrative, financial and operational functions of the department.
Eden Prairie is a diverse school with over 1,400 employees serving approximately 9,100 students.  The district is recognized for its quality initiatives and its leadership in educational programming.

RATE OF PAY:

 $28.51/hour


HOURS PER DAY:

 8 hours/day

DAYS PER YEAR

 260 days
START & ENDING TIME:

 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
PAID HOLIDAYS  12 days (inclusive of 3 Floating Holidays) PERSONAL LEAVE  4 days VACATION  10 days SICK LEAVE  12 days
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

  • An Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration, Business Management, Customer Service, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience for those without a degree.

 Experience:                                         

  • Experience building relationships with and supporting key stakeholders and department leaders while performing a wide range of administrative duties
  • Providing exceptional customer service and training others in effective customer service strategies in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams

 Qualifications:                                    

  • Multilingual experience (including English proficiency) highly preferred, especially Spanish- and/or Somali-speaking proficiency
  • Effective at working with people with diverse backgrounds and identities
  • Evidence of dependability, accuracy, attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and project-management and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of students, staff, families, and external partners
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage sensitive and confidential issues, and/or refer issues to appropriate authority
  • Commitment to being a collaborative team player and working cross-departmentally to achieve common goals
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation and proofreading skills
