Job description

Counter Sales Representative-Customer Service-HVAC

Mentor | Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm

Pay rate: $18.00+ based on experience
A steady company. A trusted counter. A place to build a career.

Since 1965, Wolff Bros. Supply, Inc. has been a reliable partner to Ohio’s contractors, tradespeople, and builders. We’re family-owned, values-driven, and deeply rooted in the wholesale distribution industry—supporting commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential customers across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and tools.

When customers walk up to our counter, they’re not just buying parts—they’re counting on us. That’s where you come in.

What This Role Is Really About

As a Counter Sales Representative, you’re often the first face and voice of Wolff Bros. You move fast, think on your feet, and take pride in helping customers get what they need—accurately, efficiently, and with a positive attitude.

  • Electrical HVAC or Plumbing knowledge and experience a must

You’ll balance customer service, sales, and hands-on warehouse support while working alongside a dependable team that looks out for one another.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver friendly, fast, and accurate customer service at the counter and cash window
  • Process payments, returns, credits, and will-call orders
  • Suggest, promote, and upsell products to support customer needs and branch sales
  • Stay informed on product lines, promotions, programs, and spiffs
  • Build pricing quotes by researching availability, delivery timelines, and vendor options
  • Provide post-sale support (follow-ups, troubleshooting, invoice questions)
  • Keep the counter, displays, and lobby areas stocked, organized, and professional
  • Assist with warehouse tasks as needed: receiving, stocking, shipping, inventory
  • Attend training opportunities at various Wolff Bros. branches
  • Follow all safety guidelines, SOPs, and company processes
  • Pitch in where needed—because that’s how teams work

What We’re Looking For
  • HVAC knowledge and experience a must
  • A customer-first mindset with a calm, can-do attitude
  • Someone who’s dependable, professional, and willing to go the extra mile
  • Previous sales experience preferred
  • Experience or knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or electrical products is a plus
  • Comfortable multitasking on a computer while supporting customers
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening

  • Physical amp; Work Environment Expectations
  • Standing, walking, reaching, and frequent use of hands throughout the day
  • Occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or balancing
  • Regularly lifting up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 80 lbs
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception
  • Why Wolff Bros?

Because great companies are built by great people—and we invest in ours.

  • Family-owned amp; operated since 1965
  • Stable schedule – no nights, no weekends
  • Weekly paychecks
  • Paid training and ongoing development
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision
  • Company-paid Short-Term Disability amp; Life Insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid Time Off
