Job description

As Customer Service Assistant, you will operate the switchboard as a main responsibility and do order entry and run reports as needed. The position will be responsible for providing accurate and timely information in a professional manner to Customer Account Representatives, Customers, Supervisor, and other stakeholders.

Be the ambassador for Kolpak while answering the phone and directing the caller to the correct department or brand.

Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager, this position is based in Parsons, Tennessee*.

Major Accountability:

  • Operate switchboard.
  • Support Sales Engineers
  • Administrative support running reports

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Operate a multi-line switchboard
  • Distribute faxes and e-mails correspondence from the general mailbox
  • Accurately complete order entry
  • Maintain customer files
  • Create and distribute reports
  • Support Sales Engineers
  • Match and initiate invoicing and bill of ladings sent from Shipping
  • High school diploma or equivalent with less than 1 year experience in customer service.
  • Familiar with MS Office applications; ability to operate all related equipment for the role.
  • Customer oriented; capable of effectively dealing with all levels of internal and external contacts
  • Ability to learn Kolpak’s ERP system
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time; must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Typical office environment: Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required.
