Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 6 years relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Advanced Reliability Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
Description of Needs:
  • Advises and confers with engineers in design review meetings to provide reliability and maintainability findings and recommendations
  • Develops Reliability Program Plans
  • Generates reliability and maintainability mathematical models and predictions
  • Participates in a Failure Review Board
  • Participates in a FRACAS program as a team member
  • Drives stress analysis/worst case analysis efforts of parts
  • Participates in Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) efforts
  • Supports sustainment efforts through reliability assessments
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvements and innovation
  • Demonstrates strong leadership capability within a team-based environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
