Job description

Position Overview

Gutor is a leading international manufacturer of UPS systems for industrial applications. We have been in business for over 75 years and are committed to providing customers with high‑quality products and services. We are seeking a Customer Project Manager (f/m/d) for our UPS production site to lead international projects and serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Management
    • Act as the point of contact for project and technical communication with the customer.
    • Involve the customer in decision‑making and provide regular progress reports.
    • Manage customer inspections (PIM/FAT/Packing Inspection).
  • Project Execution (Planning, Steering & Controlling)
    • Ensure sales initiates the hand‑over to execution and participate in the customer kick‑off meeting.
    • Handle planning elements and milestones in accordance with the Gutor Project Process (ETO CPP) in coordination with Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
    • Identify and minimize non‑conformance costs.
    • Lead and organize status meetings for regular project status reviews.
    • Cooperate closely with the assigned Application Design Engineer and monitor document submission status with documentation teams.
  • Position Type and Hours
    • Full‑time, salaried/exempt position.
    • Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years in the Electrical or Oil and Gas industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • Strong communication skills with situational adaptability, sensitivity, and politeness.
  • Proficient in project management tools, finance, upselling, and economics of project business.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is optional.
  • Ability to handle several projects in parallel.
  • Ability to review and understand project specifications, identify deviations, and oversee implementation.
  • Basic technical knowledge.
Desired but Not Essential
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • UPS knowledge.
  • Technical Engineering Degree (HF).
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Understanding of invoicing requirements and financial aspects such as letters of credit and bank guarantees.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems (AC/DC panels and DC switchboards).
