Job description

Customer Engagement Specialist
Do you have a passion for customer service excellence? Are you interested in managing orders from quotations, scheduling, to accounts receivable? Can you negotiate?
If so, we want you on our team.
At Kirby Risk Service Center, we are the electrical wiring, control panel and mechanical manufacturing division of Kirby Risk Corporation. Our focus is to provide service and solutions from concept through on-time delivery that meet your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) needs.
What You'll Do as a Customer Engagement Specialist
In this role, you'll be creating quotes, negotiating pricing, and scheduling orders to help drive profitability.
You'll:
  • Determines pricing for quotations
  • Collaborates with purchasing to provide information for bidding raw components
  • Communicates with production, purchasing, and shipping to ensure on time delivery to customers
  • Maintains working relationship with internal and external customers to ensure customer service excellence
  • Reviewing and resolving customer concerns, quality issues, and payment discrepancies involving the appropriate parties when necessary

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • College level coursework or 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Entrepreneurial approach to balance winning new orders while improving profit margin
  • Strong math skills to accurately manage product cost data
  • Strong interpersonal, customer contact skills, and telephone etiquette
  • Demonstrates computer skills and aptitude; Microsoft Office required, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

What to Expect in This Role
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and adapt to varied work environments
  • Travel to customer sites as needed
  • Perform in a fast-paced manufacturing business environment
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm
