Job description

International Business Development Manager

Job Summary: The International Business Development Manager is responsible for generating sales based on demand from international operations, managing distributors and customer relations to provide profitable sales growth, outside of the U.S.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies that establish Kimray as a leading supplier of production control equipment in assigned international markets
  • Identify, onboard, and expand a network of independent distributors outside the U.S., ensuring alignment with company goals, standards, and commercial philosophy
  • Manage distributor performance through regular business reviews, joint account planning, and hands-on field engagement to drive growth and accountability
  • Conduct in-field site visits to identify application opportunities, assess customer needs, and position Kimray solutions at the point of production
  • Travel with distributor representatives on joint customer calls, providing technical credibility and application expertise to advance opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Deliver product demonstrations, support field trials, and serve as the primary technical resource for distributors on product selection, application questions, and solution configuration
  • Provide product training to distributor teams, equipping them to independently identify opportunities and specify Kimray equipment with confidence
  • Develop sales leads and pursue project opportunities through engagement with end users, OEM's, and EPC's
  • Represent Kimray at trade shows, industry events, and in-market promotional activities to build brand presence and generate pipeline
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to meet the needs of international customers and distributors
  • Complies with all company safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to supervisor or HSE team member
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales, business development, or management capacity and successful completion of the Kimray Sales & Service (KSS) Training Program within six months hire
  • Demonstrated experience in large or national account management, including prospecting, negotiation, and long-term account development
  • Proven ability to identify and develop new market opportunities, with a track record of building and managing distributor or channel partner relationships
  • Technical proficiency in product sizing calculations and the ability to serve as an application resource for customers and distribution partners
  • Strong presentation skills with experience delivering product, application, and process presentations to both technical and commercial audiences
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess complex field applications and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, respond with urgency, and operate independently across multiple international time zones and regions
  • Cross-cultural communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information — written, verbal, or visual — to diverse internal and external audiences
  • Well Site Safety certification required or must be obtained within a defined period of employment
  • Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean MVR
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
