Job Description: Overview: Pape-Dawson is seeking an eager and experienced Client Development Manager (Business Development Manager) who can partner with multiple departments to drive measurable results for new business for the professional services company. Our ideal candidate will be able to implement an effective sales approach that expands our reach, develops new and strengthens existing commercial mixed-used, multi-family, office and retail private-sector client relationships. They will also actively seek out other business opportunities that can boost revenue and set our company apart. Focus on civil engineering, surveying and landscape architecture services to the private sector within Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and oversee a sector(s) strategy that prioritizes new client acquisition and expand services to existing clients
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with clients
  • Use tracking tools to maintain pipeline information to support revenue targets.
  • Mentor technical professionals and help improve their BD skills
  • Plan, attend, and facilitate specialized business events
  • Identify brand exposure opportunities and coordinate with the corporate marketing team
  • Conduct high-level industry research to find potential clients and pursuits
  • Introduce and promote Pape-Dawson’s current service offerings to prospective clients
  • Collaborate with the proposal team in preparing proposals, statements of qualifications, and deliverables from initial planning through presentation development
  • Attend industry events and conferences for lead development and follow-up
  • Actively participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders
  • Interact with clients and respond to important inquiries about the company’s products or services
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related AEC field preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of business development experience within the AEC industry
  • Sharp negotiation and networking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Inquisitive mindset a plus
