Job description

As a Parts Counter Associate, you're one of the most important team members at Norm Reeves Toyota in Dallas.This position is responsible for assisting service technicians, advisors, and retail customers by identifying, sourcing, and selling Toyota Genuine Parts and accessories. The ideal candidate has previous automotive parts experience; however, we are willing to train the right individual who has outstanding customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire to build a career in the automotive industry.
What You'll Do:
  • Assist technicians, service advisors, and retail customers with parts inquiries and purchases.
  • Identify and source the correct Toyota Genuine Parts and accessories using electronic parts catalogs.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by providing timely, knowledgeable, and professional assistance.
  • Recommend additional parts or accessories based on customer and technician needs.
  • Verify pricing, availability, and estimated delivery times.
  • Coordinate special orders and communicate order status with customers and the service department.
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked front counter and parts display area.
  • Process returns, warranty parts, and core returns following dealership and Toyota guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with the Service Department to ensure technicians receive the correct parts promptly.
  • Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.

What You'll Need:
  • Previous automotive parts experience is preferred.
  • We are willing to train motivated candidates with strong customer service experience and a desire to learn the parts business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn dealership software.
  • Experience with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrak, or other dealership management systems is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
