Retail Counter associate 

The Range in McKinney is a family-owned indoor shooting range, and we are seeking a Retail Counter Associate, 21 years old or older. If you have excellent people and customer service skills and enjoy working in a retail environment, we want to hear from you. You must be able to work a flexible schedule (weekends, weekdays and some holidays) and have reliable transportation. Candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, be able to multi-task, take care of members/guest quickly and efficiently and work without direction. 

Job details 

Hourly pay $10 - $16 an hour 

Part time (Wed - Sun) 

Education: 

High school or equivalent

Job Description: 

The Retail Sales Associate will be responsible for the following duties: 

  • Greet members and guests 

  • Perform sales transactions using a computerized point of sale system 

  • Assign shooting lanes – coordinate range traffic 

  • Assist with firearm rental(s) 

  • Assist members/guests in choosing a new or rental firearm – once trained 

  • 4473 and NICS Background check process once trained 

  • Answer phone calls 

  • Sell ammunition, memberships, classes and merchandise 

  • Communicate safety requirements to members and guests – once trained 

  • Perform opening and closing tasks 

  • Be willing to learn about the firearms industry 

  • Be responsible for the retail area
