Salary

$13.00/hr.

Schedule

Flexible, as-needed scheduling with highest demand during evenings and weekends.

Essential Functions
  • Checks Ready Sub program for available shifts on a regular basis:
  • High School Diploma/GED required / Some college level coursework preferred;
  • 1-3 years' customer service experience a plus;
  • Ability to meet the following expectations:
    • Work primarily at Central, Martin, Rudisill, and Bronson Brookside Libraries, as well as shifts throughout the system;
    • Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends;
    • Work a minimum of 8 hours/maximum of 39 hours per pay period (exceptions require 30-day notice and approval; unapproved gaps of more than 30 work days may result in separation)

Physical and Environmental Conditions

For most positions work regularly requires stooping, bending and light lifting such as three or four reams of paper, four or five books, or other materials (up to 20 pounds). Some positions require moderate physical exertion, such as regularly lifting moderately heavy items (up to 40 pounds) such as crates full of books or pushing heavy (up to 100 pounds) wheeled carts full of books, on a highly frequent basis and/or assuming awkward positions.
