About This Role

Chroma Early Learning Academy is seeking an experienced and motivated Childcare Center Director to lead daily operations, support and develop staff, and maintain a high-quality learning environment. This role oversees licensing compliance with Georgia Bright from the Start, drives enrollment growth, and builds strong relationships with families and the community.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, organized leader with a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to excellence in both care and program quality.


What You'll Do
  • Guide/direct, monitor and supervise the staff and children within the center
  • Maintain and foster positive and constructive interaction with students and parents
  • Supervise all activities to ensure proper participation and safety
  • Ensure and assist with maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Assist with other duties as needed: may include food preparation oversight, answering the phone, responding to parent questions, and opening and closing the school
  • Maintain an ongoing knowledge of State guidelines for Daycare centers.
  • Ensure all employee training requirements are up to date
  • Participate in student/parent tours
  • Maintain constant supervision of students in care; attend to students in distress
  • Assist teachers with the weekly development and execution of the curriculum and program activities
  • You will also have a back-office and corporate support to guide you and assist you with your tasks

Requirements
  • Experience at the front desk (Director/Assistant Director, Office Manager, etc.) of a licensed childcare facility
  • Previous supervisory experience or experience providing work direction
  • Knowledge of child care licensing rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of early childhood education curriculum
  • All child care positions in the State of Georgia require daycare workers to have a current, satisfactory background check on file with Decal
  • Flexible/adaptable to constant change
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiative
  • Initiative to develop and maintain communication and build relationships with parents and others

Nice To Haves
  • Must have, or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid and any other training required by regulatory agencies
  • 40 Hour Directors Course Certification or CDA or Childcare Director Requirement as required by State of Georgia
