The Elementary Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Specialist will be responsible for working with elementary students in assisting with STEM-related curriculum initiatives, programs, and projects for the 2026-2027 school year.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Elementary STEM Teacher to join our dedicated elementary specialist team. The ideal candidate will inspire young learners through engaging and hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills through the authentic learning design process.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
  • Design and implement an interactive STEM curriculum that encourages creativity and innovation and aligns with state standards and school goals. Curriculum will include project-based learning, digital literacy, computer programming, and coding, while incorporating disciplinary literacy skills and facilitating authentic learning.

Instruction:
  • Deliver engaging lessons that promote inquiry-based learning and encourage student exploration in STEM subjects. Provide instruction on research skills, digital citizenship, and the effective use of technology. Teach students how to think computationally and create new technologies.
  • Ensure opportunities for library book check-out.

Assessment:
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal assessments, providing feedback to support learning.

Classroom Management:
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners and promotes collaboration.

Integration of Technology:
  • Utilize technology and digital resources to enhance student learning and engagement in STEM subjects.

Professional Development:
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with STEM education trends and best practices.

Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other teachers, parents, and community partners to support student learning and promote STEM initiatives.

Extracurricular Activities:

Salary can range anywhere between $52,020 and $126,971 depending upon education level and experience.
