Description
Primary Function:
A Training Manager designs, implements, collaborates and oversees employees on the training team to assist and boost skills and performance on all programs, including conduct performance assessments, time sheet approvals, budget management, and evaluating program effectiveness, often collaborating with Training Lead Engineer, Senior Manager and other Executive Leadership to align with company goals and vision.
Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Write, review, and edit documents to communicate complex technical material into readable and clear manner for use in training documentation.
  2. Review technical documentation in support of Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS), Naval Air Training and Information Program (NATIP), Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) and aircraft test procedures for use in training documentation.
  3. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  4. Experience managing budgets and resources.
  5. Ability to collaborate with all levels of staff and leadership.
  6. Ability to manage complex tasks from inception to end.
  7. Good time management and organizational skills.
  8. Work closely with engineering and technical personnel to develop documentation and training material throughout the developmental stages of various projects.
  9. Work as a member of a team to ensure the goals of the project are met in a timely manner.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions:
• Office environment with occasional travel required for site visits or customer meetings.
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience totaling 10 or more years.
• US Citizen.
• Active DoD security clearance(preferred) or the ability to obtain one.
• 4-8 years' experience working in Instructional System Design to include developing courseware.
• 2-5 years' experience providing training and interfacing with trainers.
• Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, or similar platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Microsoft Teams.
Preferred Requirements:
• CAM (Control Account Manager) Experience
• Background in defense aerospace or training development.
• Candidates with experience in fixed wing aircraft (Operation and or Maintenance).
• Instructor experience.
• Experience with US Navy training and curriculum development are preferred.
• Experience working as a Government Contractor or with contracts, DOD experience preferred.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable.
• Portfolio showcasing work examples.
• Preferred active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
