Job Title: Assistant Principal

Reports to: Campus Principal

Location: In-Person, CASLV School Campus โ€“ Las Vegas, NV; Henderson, NV

Position Type: Full-Time, 12-Month (School Year)

Position Summary

The Assistant Principal at Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas supports the Principal in providing instructional leadership, operational oversight, and a positive school culture. This position assists with supervision of staff, implementation of academic programs, and coordination of student discipline and support services. The Assistant Principal works collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families to ensure a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Principal in leading school operations, academic initiatives, and campus-wide programs.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of instructional programs to improve student achievement.
  • Observe, coach, and evaluate teachers and staff to support professional growth and instructional excellence.
  • Coordinate student discipline and implement positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS).
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to promote a strong school-home partnership.
  • Lead or support school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and district policies and regulations.
  • Manage safety protocols, emergency drills, and campus security efforts.
  • Support scheduling, testing coordination, and data analysis for continuous school improvement.
  • Serve as acting Principal when the Principal is absent.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field.
  • Valid Nevada administrator license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and evaluate staff effectively.

Preferred:

  • Two or more years of experience as a school administrator or instructional coach.
  • Experience in a charter school or college-prep school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment best practices.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
