Job Description
The Senior Specialist for Transfer and Articulation ensures system-wide compliance and seamless student mobility by managing CSN's multi-institutional articulation agreements.
Acting as an advisor to the Faculty Senate Curriculum and General Education Advisory committees, this position conducts pre-reviews of proposals to optimize stackable credentials, coordinates system-wide Common Course Numbering alignments, and curates the college's Areas of Study pathways to minimize student credit loss.
The Senior Specialist serves as the operational manager for transfer-specific MOUs, ensuring all external articulation pathways are accurately built into internal advising guides and academic maps. The Senior Specialist serves as the college's designated Institutional Articulation Coordinator and as a member of the NSHE Articulation Coordinating Committee.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years post-secondary transfer and articulation and/or curriculum experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of post-secondary transfer and articulation and/or curriculum experience.

The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Knowledge of NSHE's Board of Regents Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual, especially of the sections covering curriculum, credentials, general education, and transfer and articulation.
  • Knowledge of CSN policies and procedures, especially of those covering curriculum, credentials, transfer and articulation, and Declaration of Major.
  • Knowledge of NWCCU accreditation standards.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively and diplomatically with faculty, administrative leadership, and external system stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and communicate complex academic policies, regulations, and articulation standards clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in technical and professional writing, with specific experience drafting formal agreements, institutional reports, or regulatory documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills, with a proven ability to facilitate consensus, mediate policy differences, and build partnerships across institutional boundaries.
  • Strong data literacy and database management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate, centralized records and query information systems to support institutional reporting.
  • Advanced organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to independently prioritize competing priorities, multitask, and manage complex, concurrent workflows to meet strict internal and external deadlines.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and strategic agility in adapting institutional timelines, processes, and project workflows in response to shifting external mandates, system-wide policy revisions, or changing regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and take decisive action when navigating complex, ambiguous, or sensitive articulation and curriculum challenges.
  • Advanced proficiency with institutional software applications and data tools, including the Microsoft 365 Suite (specifically advanced Excel and Access for data tracking), and a demonstrated aptitude for learning specialized enterprise systems (such as student information systems and curriculum management platforms).
  • Practical understanding of inputting, hyperlinking, and structuring data within pre-defined website frames or shells in compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA digital accessibility standards.

Salary information:
