This is an unpaid Volunteer / Intern position.

Job Description

Introduce high school and college aged students to Japanese language and culture.

Enhance student development through lecture and facilitation of student discussion and activities.

Prepare creative presentations and lectures on Japanese Theatre & Kabuki Movement.

Educate students about Japanese culture and etiquette.

Design curriculum to teach students about Japanese language and culture.

Guide and encourage students to broaden their cultural horizons.

Evaluate student progress and learning of Japanese Theatre, the Kabuki Movement, Japanese language, culture, and etiquette.

Act as a mentor and resource person to students regarding the curriculum.

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of Japanese Theatre & Kabuki Movement, along with Japanese language, culture, and etiquette.

Prior teaching experience required.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to manage and provide instruction to students.

A passion for women's education.

Strong leadership skills.

Ability to work independently and coordinate with other volunteers.
