Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic Architect to join the firm to join the growing Urban, Campus & Cultural team. The Urban, Campus & Cultural team brings together Cooper Robertson’s 45-year legacy in urban design, campus planning, and cultural design with Corgan’s global platform. Recent projects include the University of Maryland Campus Plan, the Princeton University Art Museum, the Studio Museum in Harlem, and urban design plans for Hudson Yards and the Brooklyn waterfront. Work on diverse project types alongside a team of creative, highly motivated professionals who collaborate to deliver outstanding results. Responsibilities
  • Assist in all phases of the design process on a variety of architectural and planning projects
  • Generate creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a project
  • Foster a productive partnership with the client and project delivery team through regular communication and collaboration
  • Utilize appropriate software at a proficient level to create graphics and presentation materials
  • Support the integration of the design process with other workflows and project tasks
  • Actively collaborate and support the management of project teams
  • Execute coordination and integration of construction and consultant documents
  • Apply knowledge of construction methods and timelines
  • Conduct field verification and site visits as needed
  • Maintain awareness of, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and products
  • Actively contribute to the production of project deliverables
Qualifications
  • This role is an in-office position
  • Degree from a NAAB-accredited architecture program or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural design and urban design/planning
  • Professional registration in the US or actively pursuing registration
  • The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented, highly motivated individual seeking progressively more responsible assignments on a variety of projects
  • Display strong design portfolio showing strengths in design, planning, and production
  • Revit and Rhino proficiency; experience with other 3D and GIS software preferred
  • Interest in sustainable design
  • Strong organizational, written and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible attitude
  • Ability to collaborate in a diverse project team environment
  • Confident presentation ability
  • Candidates should be familiar with coordinating project deliverables and clients
  • Experience preparing all stages of design documentation, performing construction administration, and consultant coordination are preferred

This position is designated as full-time on-site and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular, reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this role.

Base Salary Range: $72,000 - $117,000 annually – New York locations only

The estimate range represents the general base salary range of candidates hired in New York only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. In addition, a base salary is not inclusive of total compensation.
