Overview
he Cultural Advisor position is a full-time position providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on AOR specific political, cultural, socio-economic, and influential moderate voices within the environment.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Security Requirement:TS/SCI or TS w/SCI Eligibility
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Participates in USCENTCOM, Interagency, and Coalitions working groups, and serve as the Operational Cultural Advisor.
  • Provides critical insight into the beliefs, behaviors, values, customs, language, and societal dynamics of target populations to enable planning, operations, and strategic communicators to create and disseminate culturally resonant messages.
  • Reviews and provides recommendations to influence artifacts to verify cultural context and likely effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in support of US Armed Forces or US government agencies
  • US Citizenship with a current US Passport with 2 years remaining in validity
  • Must be willing to deploy for periods of 180 - 365 days in support of US Forces
  • Be familiar with, certified in, or have applicable operational/field time experience in: Military Deception (MILDEC); OPSEC; EW; Cyberspace operations
  • Must possess excellent listening skills with the ability to pay attention to minute details, have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate clearly in the English language
  • Linguists may be required to complete an annual evaluation and retesting process to determine eligibility for possible extension of services required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Political Science, International Studies, Anthropology, Communication or a related field from an accredited and reputable institution
  • Possess detailed knowledge of the operating environment to include Joint, Combined doctrine as well as the Primary country of interest laws and regulations
  • A minimum of 4/4/4/ scores or higher in testing scores both in English and a 5/5/5/ in the Target Language
  • Experience working with Information Operations/ MISO units.
  • Native Heritage
  • Proven abilities to provide Objective, Unbiased, & Logical cultural advisement.
