Job Summary
The Hospitality Support Specialist plays a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This position provides cross-departmental support within Nutrition/Culinary, Laundry Operations, and Housekeeping to ensure consistent coverage and continuity of services.


This role offers variety in daily responsibilities, with the ability to shift between departments based on operational needs and priorities to support resident care and services.


Responsibilities include maintaining residents’ personal clothing and linens, supporting meal service and dining operations, and ensuring proper cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms and common areas. The Resident Services Generalist follows all infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines while delivering services with professionalism and respect.


This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork, along with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and committed to upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident dignity while supporting overall campus operations.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide cross-departmental support across Nutrition/Culinary, Housekeeping, and Laundry Operations to ensure consistent staffing coverage and continuity of services.

• Adapt to varying daily assignments across departments based on operational needs, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented approach.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas in accordance with facility standards, infection control guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

• Support dining and meal service, including meal preparation assistance, tray delivery, resident assistance as appropriate, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.

• Manage resident personal clothing and linens, including collection, laundering, labeling, distribution, and ensuring items are in good repair and returned promptly.

• Follow all infection control, safety, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.

• Demonstrate respect and professionalism in all interactions with residents, families, and staff, supporting resident dignity, privacy, and person-centered care.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding resident needs, supply levels, and any concerns impacting service delivery.

• Observe and report changes in resident condition, environmental concerns, or safety risks to appropriate staff in a timely manner.

• Maintain organization of work areas, equipment, and supplies to support efficiency across departments.

• Adhere to all Country Manor policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while contributing to a positive team environment.


Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Ability and willingness to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas throughout the facility
  • Able to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Works well with residents, supervisors, and team members in a cooperative and helpful manner
  • Physically and mentally able to perform assigned job duties
  • Maintains a neat appearance and adheres to uniform and name badge requirements
  • Follows established routines, policies, and the overall mission of the facility
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrates patience, professionalism, and tact when interacting with residents, staff, and visitors
