Job Summary


Position Summary:

The Culinary Supervisor supports culinary leadership in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent food quality, safety, and team performance. This role is responsible for supervising food preparation, maintaining sanitation standards, and guiding team members in executing events and service with excellence. The ideal candidate leads by example, fosters a collaborative kitchen environment, and ensures that all culinary standards and procedures are upheld to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:

  • Execute daily opening and closing procedures alongside team members.
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cleaning, and event execution.
  • Ensure all food items are prepared to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines, meeting production timelines and event requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain all kitchen equipment to ensure proper functionality.

Food Safety & Sanitation:

  • Conduct and train team members on daily sanitation inspections across all active operational areas.
  • Identify and report any safety or sanitation violations to direct supervisors.
  • Ensure proper storage or disposal of excess food in accordance with safe food handling procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness during and after food preparation and events.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Train team members on Levy core signatures, best practices, and operational standards.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to support team growth and performance.
  • Set clear goals for the team and support efforts to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Accept feedback openly and work diligently to improve leadership skills and culinary expertise.
  • Regularly report progress on tasks and team goals to direct supervisors.

Event & Standards Management:

  • Ensure Levy standards are consistently upheld at all events.
  • Assist with ordering and receiving food and supplies as needed, while ensuring storerooms remain clean and organized.
  • Facilitate production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required by leadership.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, guests, clients, and leadership.
