Job description

Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR)

Location: Fully Remote 

Duration - 13 Weeks
Candidates: Local & Travel Candidates Accepted

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) for a fully remote opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling complex oncology cases, including multiple facility abstracts, rare and complex primary sites, and advanced treatment cases.

Candidates must be highly detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of accuracy while working independently in a remote environment.

Schedule
  • Monday – Friday
  • 8-hour shifts / 40 hours per week
  • No weekends
  • Acceptable work window: 4:30 AM – 11:00 PM EST
  • Schedule must fall within the approved work window.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Certified Tumor Registrar.
  • CTR/ODS certification required.
  • Certification verification and issue date required.
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong oncology registry and cancer abstracting experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
Clinical & Abstracting Experience

Candidates should be comfortable handling complex cases, including:

  • Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) treatments
  • Multiple-facility abstracts
  • Rare and complex primary sites
  • Complex oncology cases
  • Detailed cancer registry abstraction
  • User-defined fields and specialized data requirements
Quality Expectations
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • An assessment may be required as part of the selection process to evaluate experience and suitability for the role.
  • Ongoing quality review will be conducted.
  • Minimum expected accuracy: 90%
  • Target mean accuracy: 95%

Experience with cancer registry and oncology-related systems is preferred, including:

Remote Work Requirements
  • Fully remote position.
