Job description

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a CTE Instructor at Miami Youth Academy in Miami, FL

Miami Youth Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth aged 14 to 18. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based substance abuse services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program.

Pay: $42,000 salary, exempt annually. Paid bi-weekly.

 Day in the Life: The CTE Instructor administers all phases of the site’s CTE programs. Ensures that standards for CTE programs are met in all Rite of Passage approved programs. Reviews and analyzes current program elements, provides suggestions and direction to the Principal to ensure the highest standards are maintained. Actively seeks funding opportunities to enhance the CTE programs. Develops and maintains effective working relationships and collaboration with higher education, state agencies, local businesses, and community organizations.

 To be considered, you should: Possess a High School Diploma or GED. Current or past Career and Technical Education Administrator’s certification is preferred. Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test. Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week as needed. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities.
