Pay Information:
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
  • CT Tech 1 starts at $37.18 per hour.
  • CT Tech 2 starts at $46.11 per hour.
  • CT Tech 3 starts at $52.08 per hour.

Job Summary:
CT Tech 1: The Computed Tomography (CT) Tech 1 performs diagnostic CT imaging procedures under direct supervision while developing proficiency in CT imaging techniques, protocols, and patient care. This is the entry-level role in the CT Technologist series, designed for technologists who have completed an accredited radiologic technology program, are certified by the ARRT in Radiography and are working towards ARRT (CT) post-primary certification.
CT Tech 2: The Computed Tomography (CT) Tech 2 performs a wide range of complex CT imaging procedures independently with minimal supervision. This is the journey-level role in the CT Technologist series. Incumbents must be certified in Computed Tomography (CT) by the ARRT and demonstrate proficiency in general and specialized CT examinations, trauma protocols, and contrast-enhanced studies.
CT Tech 3: The Computed Tomography (CT) Tech 3 is the advanced-level role in the CT Technologist series. Incumbents must be certified in Computed Tomography (CT) by the ARRT and at least one other modality (e.g. CT, XR, Mammo, etc.). Acts as a technical expert and cross-departmental resource.

  • Experience: Six (6) Months as a Radiology (XR) Technologist
  • License(s): None
  • Certification(s): Current ARRT (XR) certification, Alaska Fluoroscopy Users certification within one month of hire. Eligible for ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months.
CT Tech 2:
  • Education: N/A
  • Experience: One (1) year as a CT Technologist
  • License(s): None
  • Certification(s): Current ARRT (CT) certification, Alaska Fluoroscopy Users certification within one month of hire.
CT Tech 3:
  • Education: N/A
  • Experience: Three (3) years as a CT Technologist
  • License(s): None
  • Certification(s): Current ARRT (CT) certification, Alaska Fluoroscopy Users certification within one month of hire.
