Job description

  1. Displays courtesy and professionalism at all times while providing timely, helpful services to all patients, visitors, physicians, and associates.
  2. Must be courteous to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  3. Does minor room clean ups pre & post procedures.
  4. Link exam studies and track and charge for supplies in Syngo Radiology.
  5. Review patient status in PICIS (E.R. tracking system).
  6. Scan all exam related paperwork into Stentor (PACS)
  7. Access CT Scan scheduling module to look up future patients, or history of previous exams.
  8. Look up to see if patients have current lab work for future CT Scans having I.V. contrast.  If there are no current labs, aides will continue to pursue, and fax or call ordering doctor’s office.
  9. Aides will sometimes ask patients to fill out history questionnaires.
  10. Transport patients.
  11. Answer telephones and communicate between other departments and radiologists.
  12. Assist technologists transferring patients on and off CT Scan tables.
  13. Stock CT Scan room with linen and supplies.
  14. Enter CT scan exams in Soarian Clinicals after patients have been registered.
  15. Enters patient information in to the Virtual Radiology System and validates the information.
  16. Assists patients with scheduling questions.
  17. Must be able to multitask.
  18. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to use and learn basic level computer systems and to generate reports.
  • BLS required.
