Job Description

Compass Government Solutions is seeking a Referral Management Services Clerk to support the Puget Sound Military Appointing Center (PSMAC). Puget Sound Military Appointing Center (PSMAC) is the primary centralized service hub for appointment services, referral management, and care coordination for PSMHS beneficiaries. This role helps ensure timely access to high-quality healthcare by processing referrals, managing beneficiary inquiries, and supporting specialty appointing operations within the MHS GENESIS system.

Work Schedule & Location

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (excluding federal holidays)

Location: 5050 20th Street E, Fife, WA, 98424

Job Duties:

  • Review and process specialty care referrals within required timelines
  • Determine whether patients are appointed to the MTF or deferred to the network
  • Coordinate specialty appointments and conduct outbound scheduling and reminder calls
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls in a high-volume healthcare environment
  • Verify beneficiary eligibility and provide clear guidance on referral status
  • Process Secure Messaging System (SMS) appointment requests
  • Communicate referral updates, denials, or incomplete requests to providers
  • Accurately document all actions in MHS GENESIS
  • Support urgent referrals and ensure compliance with access-to-care standards
  • Prioritize tasks in alignment with mission requirements
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and related software
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to obtain clearance to access the work site located on a CSMHS military installation and be granted a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Healthcare administrative experience preferred
