Position Overview:
The BIM Designer CSA Engineer will be responsible for reviewing project Revit and Navisworks models assessing model development, modeling standards and practices and adherence to the BIM standards and compile your comments on the same. They will be responsible for supporting partner teams such as design, construction, and operations.
The BIM Designer CSA will be responsible for establishing and maintaining BIM standards, processes, and workflows. The candidate shall also be responsible for the BIM lifecycle of multiple design projects across the globe.
The candidate shall also be responsible for developing masterplans, site layouts, and contract design package reviews for CSA.
Key Responsibilities:
  • BIM Implementation Strategy, establishing and maintaining BIM standards, processes, and workflows as well as educating and training internal teams in BIM software and procedures
  • BIM oversight of all aspects of the data center life cycle starting with design, construction, and maintenance of data center BIM models
  • Lead discussions in engineering and construction best practices, supporting the wider team by sharing knowledge with a view to establishing new standards
  • Develop BIM Implementation strategy and deliver complex international projects
  • Establish and ensure BIM files meet Fleet Data Center standards and are always following the BIM Guidelines during the project by reviewing consultant BIM documentation, BIM files, coordinate output formats, and validate data quality, collect design documents and files for projects
  • CDE Management, establish and administer the CDE and support efficient management of multi-stakeholder projects
  • Project Management, coordinating BIM execution and project delivery with project leadership
  • BIM Execution, create and maintain the project's industry framework documents including BEP, MIDP, MPDT, appendices etc.
  • Technical support, establish data-integrated workflows for building projects and provide support, guidance and training to project teams
  • Digital technology and content management, oversee the production of smart object content, templates and libraries in the context of the project, deploy the use of Fleet Data Centers content management system Autodesk Content Catalog or other onto projects and manage the best practice use of digital technology for collaboration, coordination and delivery
  • Quality, establish and administer the digital quality assurance control procedures
  • Working with multiple design and engineering professionals on concepts and build projects

Required Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in managing CSA delivery across multiple projects or business units
  • 5+ years of design and construction experience
  • 5+ years working with Revit
  • 5+ years working with Navisworks
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent organization skills in archival and maintenance operations of project documents
  • Experience with Tier 1 contractor projects or complex multi-disciplinary programs
  • Familiarity with digital construction tools, BIM and lean methodologies
  • Extensive knowledge of software packages such as ACC and Procore
  • Experience in the establishment and management of BIM and VDC models including orientation, geo-positioning, coordination, and the set-up of model reviews

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent in architecture, civil or structural design
  • Experience in mission critical design
  • Professional accreditation or membership of a relevant body
  • Postgraduate qualification in CSA, project management or sustainability
  • Training in digital design, BIM management or innovative CSA technologies
